Off-road LA Bay to Puerto San Francisquito, Baja California, Mexico
The drive from Bahia de Los Ángeles sout to Puerto San Francisquito is on the old Baja 1000 road, which takes about 3 hours and can be pretty bumpy.
From LA Bay head south. At about 16 miles you will start passing through a mountain range.
At mile 23 you will come out into Valle Las Ánimas.
At mile 34 the valley narrows as the road heads east towards the Sea of Cortez.
At mile 40 the road heads up the side of a hill.
At mile 43 the road comes close to the Sea of Cortez.
At mile 46 there is a turn off to Bahía San Rafael campsite and beach.
A little later the road starts heading southwest away from the Sea of Cortez.
At mile 61 the road climbs another hill.
At mile 70.5 the road meets up with the road coming from Hwy 1 (Guerrero Negro). Playa Del Barril is about 8 miles southeast from here. But continue on the road heading west to get to Puerto San Francisquito.
At around mile 80 you start to arrive at Puerto San Francisquito.
