Lower Cedar Mountain Road is a 9.4 mile trail through San Rafael Swell Recreation Area between Green River and Castle Dale, Utah. There are a group of 4 separate petroglyph sites along this section of the abandoned railroad grade that are all located within close proximity of each other. The sites include Railroad Rock, 45 Degree Rock, the Daisy Chain Panel and the Silent Sentinel site.
Silent Sentinal petroglyph panels. The early Fremont indians had a lot going in this one.
Daisy Chain Rock petroglyph panels has some very nice Fremont 'glyphs here. Unfortunately, some people have defaced them over past decades.
Only 45 Degree Rock has an interpretive sign. "45 Degree Rock. These Freemont petroglyphs contain examples of zoomorphs (animals) and anthromorphs (people), two of which seem to have packs on their backs and may possibly represent Kokopelli, the "humped-back flute player." Look at and admire. Look at and wonder at its meaning."

Each site requires a minimal amount of hiking and during good conditions can be reached by most any type of vehicle from the westernmost starting point.
