Off-Road Red Canyon Trail, California
The 14 mile Red Canyon Trail in Southern California winds along the top of an extremely narrow spine along Red Canyon and takes about 2 hours. The northern trailhead starts off I-10 at the Chiriaco Summit exit near the General George S. Patton Memorial Museum. The southern trailhead ends at Summit Rd east of the Salton Sea. High-clearance 4WD is recommended, though most stock SUVs will work.
Take Summit Road east for a little bit to connect with Bradshaw Trail.
