Off-road Valle de los Cirios (Cataviña Area), Baja California, Mexico
The Valle de los Cirios on a dirt road that somewhat parrellels Hwy from Cataviña stretch of dirt that will take you from Cataviña north to the El Marmol mine ruins. Following some old Baja 1000 tracks, the rock-studded and sandy route takes you through desert vistas studded with the Baja-endemic cirios, great rock formations, cave paintings and much more.
Starting just north of Cataviña head north on the dirt road and head into Valle de los Cirios. At around mile 19 the road intersects with the El Marmol mine ruins road and is close to Hwy 1 again.
