The Old Lahaina Luau presents an authentic Hawaiian Luau. The evening starts with a lei greeting presented by friendly Luau hosts. Island crafts and demonstrations, such as the unearthing of the traditional Hawaiian underground oven (Imu), poi pounding and kapa making (a type of textile made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree) to entertain guests. Tropical cocktails and beverages are included with admission. Food is presented in a beautiful buffet where guests have an opportunity to try a wide variety of traditional Hawaiian foods. The evening plays out with an award-winning production of legendary music and a hula performance that takes guests on a musical journey through the history of Hawaii and the Hawaiian people. The Old Lahaina Luau is an evening of traditional Hawaiian cuisine, music, cultural dances and island crafts. Guests will gain an understanding of Hawaii's rich history while enjoying an ocean view and sunset from the oceanfront setting at 1251 Front Street, Lahaina, Maui along the Lahaina Historic Trail.
