Bellows Beach is located on Oahu near Waimanalo, Hawaii next to an important air field during World War II. The base now serves as a military training area and recreation area for active and retired military and civilian employees of the Department of Defense. This shallow beach has lots of soft sand for kids to play in and is a great place to body board,. The beach is closed to the Public regularly for military training. Usually open weekends and holidays, usually closed during regular "business hours" on weekdays. There can be issues with jellyfish. Just try not to go within a week of the last full moon. If you do go, take some spray or something to treat any stings.
