Relax on Hamoa Beach, Hana, Maui, Hawaii
Hamoa Beach near Hana on Maui is a half-moon-shaped, gray-sand beach (a mix of coral and lava).
Swimming is usually not safe due to strong waves and rip currents. The surf breaks offshore and rolls in, making this a popular surfing and bodysurfing area.
During the summer it's possible to snorkel on the left sideif the surf is small.
It's at Hana Hwy (Hana to Kipahulu) Mile Marker 51.
