Dive or Snorkel off Mākua Beach (Tunnels Beach), Kauai, Hawaii
Tunnels Beach on Kauai has beautiful snorkeling, great hiking trails and cave nearby. The shallow inner reef is great snorkeling for the novice and children - lots of different varieties of fish, within feet of the beach. The outer reefs are great for divers and advanced snorkelers.
Parking can be difficult. Look for the sign that says "tunnels next left". Bathrooms and showers can be found at Haena Beach Park located west of Tunnels.
