Ride Tusayan Route Shuttle Bus (Purple Route), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

During the busy summer season, lines are long at the entrance station and parking is difficult to find on the South Rim. So park in the gateway community of Tusayan and ride a free Tusayan Route Shuttle Bus (Purple Route) into the park. After making four stops in Tusayan, the shuttle bus heads straight to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. Shuttle buses make the following four stops in Tusayan: IMAX Theater/ R.P.'s Stage Stop Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn The Grand Hotel Big E Steakhouse and Saloon Visitors entering the park from Tusayan must present a valid park entrance pass when boarding the shuttle bus. Purchase passes at park entrance stations or the following Tusayan businesses: Canyon Plaza Resort National Geographic Visitor Center (IMAX) Red Feather Lodge R.P.’s Stage Stop There is also a National Park Service fee machine at the IMAX. Annual or lifetime passes are accepted. The Tusayan Route operates every day from early May through early October. Buses run every 20 minutes between 8 am and 9:45 pm. Takes 20 minutes each way (riding time; no stop). Shuttle Bus Etiquette: No eating or open drink containers No pets. Service animals permitted Collapse strollers before entering the shuttle bus. No oversized or jogging strollers. Remove baby-back carriers when seated Shuttle buses can accommodate two or three bicycles, but not tag alongs, baby trailers, or children's bicycles with wheels less than 16 inches (41 cm). Riders must load and unload their bicycles Shuttle buses are equipped with ramps and space to carry passengers in wheelchairs.Please note: wheelchairs larger than 30 inches wide by 48 inches long (76 cm x 122 cm) cannot be accommodated on shuttle buses and most motorized scooters will not fit Shuttle buses only stop at designated bus stops
