Do a Budapest's Ruin Pub Crawl, Hungary
Starting around 2001 a bunch of young men looking for cheap places to drink in Budapest. Out of this has come a bunch of so called Ruin Pubs/Bars (romkocsma) that are in derelict buildings and unused outdoor spaces. These have been transformed into friendly bars where you can still get a large beer for less than $2.
Szimpla Kert was the first ruin bar. It moved around before ending up in the Jewish Quarter of Budapest’s seventh district.
