See Nile Crocodile in the Wild
The Nile Crocodile can be found in almost every major river and many lakes in Africa. These crocs are easy to spot on safari as they sun themselves on river banks.
The Nile crocodile is the largest crocodilian in Africa and is sometimes regarded as the second-largest crocodilian after the saltwater crocodile. The male crocodile usually measure from 3.5 to 5 metres (11 to 16 ft) long, but very old, mature ones can grow to 5.5 m (18 ft) or more.
They are responsible for a number of human fatalities every year and are considered to be one of Africa's most dangerous animals.
