The artwork Amphitrite is a sculpture group made by Albert Termote in 1956 for the Koninklijke Nederlandse Stoomboot-Maatschappij. Amphitrite was the name of a Greek sea goddess. Most of the ships of the KNSM had names derived from Greek, Roman or Egyptian mythology.
