The Art Deco Asheville City Hall in North Carolina features decorative Art Deco lanterns on either side of its main entrance. The building, designed by Douglas Ellington, was completed in 1928 and is known for its ziggurat roof, green and gold feather motifs, and use of materials that reflect the local soil according to Explore Asheville. It was intended to instill civic pride and is considered an iconic landmark in Asheville.
