See Audley Square Spy Lamp Post, London, England
The street light at Audley Square once served as a KGB dead letter box. Located at South Audley Street and Tilney Street. Look for the #2 light postjust outside the University Women’s Club. Starting in the 1950s, agents would leave their documents behind the small door to the rear of the post. To indicate there was a message waiting, a chalk mark was made near the base.
