See Camel Butte, Monument Valley, Arizona
Lying on the border of Arizona and Utah the sandstone "buttes" rise up to 1000 ft (305 m) from the valley floor.
The land is part of the Navajo Reservation and it's possible to tour part of the dirt road of the valley floor on an organised tour or in your own vehicle on payment of a fee.
