Canadian Rockies, Canada
View Original Description
The Canadian Rockies consist of many mountain ranges, but it’s the national parks of Banff, Kootenay and Yoho, Jasper, and the Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber provincial parks that are World Heritage sites. In a word, the Canadian Rockies are breathtaking and the air just feels cleaner there.
Skiers and snowboarders have been flocking to Banff during winter months to enjoy the wide-open and long runs that seem to last forever. The town of Banff is quaint, artistic, and has some great dining options. If you want something more daring there are plenty of places to go heli skiing. In the summer months you can go heli hiking, do some rock climbing, go mountain biking, or drive an ATV through the mountains. If water activities are your passion you’ll love the white water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking options. After a long day of enjoying the outdoors there are plenty of five-star resorts with amenities designed to help visitors unwind.
