See Casa do Penedo, Fafe, Portugal

The "Flintstones' house" in northern Portugal. Casa do Penedo translates literally as the ''house of stone'' because of the four large boulders which have been used as foundation walls. Although it may look primitive, it incorporates all the facilities just like a normal dwelling would, even having a swimming pool. The house is located between Serra Fafe and Headboards de Basto. A Casa do Penedo began construction in spring 1972, when the family Rodrigues wanted to fulfill his dream. Since the rock house is privately owned you could say curious visitors are somewhat unwelcome.
