Built in 1918, the Arts and Crafts-style Cobb House was constructed as the private residence of John Lewis, whom built and operated the nearby Lake McDonald Lodge, and later served as employee housing, before being converted into additional guest accommodation. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Lake McDonald Lodge Historic District in 1978.
