Connecticut Statue, Shockoe Bottom, Richmond, Virginia
View Original Description
The sculpture "Connecticut" used to be exhibited in a minor league ballpark in Richmond but in 2010 was moved to this building, the "Lucky Strike," overlooking the James River. This fiberglass and resin composition resembles a giant Indian brave peering out over a parapet. The statue measures 25 feet by 13 feet by 9 feet and weighs 2,400 pounds. It now overlooks the James River in the area near Great Shiplock Park.
The 2,400-pound sculpture is by artist Paul DiPasquale.
