See or Crawl through Củ Chi Tunnels, Vietnam

Not far from Ho Chi Minh City (a.k.a. Saigon), the Cu Chi Tunnels are a must see. The Viet Cong guerrillas used these tunnels during the Vietnam War as a place for sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, hospitals, and more. Just visiting the tunnels so many decades later offers an insight into the mechanics of how that war was fought. The museum vividly displays the ruthless nature of war and what soldiers and fighters on both sides endured. There are some tunnels that are open to the public and can be crawled through in order to experience what it was like during the war. These tunnels have been expanded a bit to accommodate visitors, but crawling through them can still be quite a claustrophobic and memorable experience.
