Delta Solar Ruins, Utah
View Original Description
The Delta Solar Ruins is a solar power system that couldn't hold up to the harsh desert conditions near Delta, Utah.
Originally built in 2008, these solar towers were to serve as an alternative source of energy for Southern California, but have now been left to rust. Unfortunately, the cheaper (and not so rugged) plastic materials used for the solar collector panels couldn’t withstand the relentless desert winds and the project was abandoned.
