Designed by architect Walter S. White for psychoanalyst Dr. Franz Alexander, the Alexander House, as it’s known, appears to emerge from the site’s boulders and the rocky mountains behind it. It was built in 1956. The result is a structure that seamlessly integrates into its natural surroundings, enhancing views of the valley while creating numerous indoor-outdoor connections.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
