See Faro del Cabo de Gata, Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, Spain
The Gata lighthouse, located in Cabo de Gata, was built in 1863, 18 meters high, with flashes every 30 seconds at more than 50 meters above sea level, where it can be observed from 30 miles away.
In the 20th century it was accompanied by the lighthouse house and other facilities around it. This lighthouse was built on the castle of San Francisco de Paula (1738), which was later dismantled in the war of independence from Spain.
It was painted in camouflage colors in April 1937, during the Spanish Civil War.
