See Hinde Home, Coronado, California

Historically known as the "Hinde House," today it’s known as the Kirk House at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. The property has a history longer than the Hotel del Coronado. In 1887 the Hind family commissioned James William Reid and his brother Merritt Jonathan Reid, architects of the world-famous Hotel del Coronado, to design a completely new structure around the original facade of the mansion. The design resulted, in part, from plans that Eliza Hinde suggested. How you can help protect this wonder: Because this is a private owned property, enjoy it from the front sidewalk. Be respectful of privacy when taking photos. This is strictly enforced when nearby schools are in session.
