A 1970 Volkswagen Beetle has been welded into a 28-foot-tall black widow spider. Located on the site of a former auto repair shop stands a giant metal spider, the body of which is a Volkswagen Beetle. The auto repair shop is now being cleared to make way for what appears to be a new travel center development. The Volkswagen Spider is suppose to remain on the property. Although the welding shop is now closed and used as a private residence, you can find a spot to pull over (maybe in the Jack in the Box parking lot) and view this spine-tingling "spider bug" anytime day or night.
