See Independence Day Time Capsule, Rachel, Nevada
The 1996 blockbuster movie, Independence Day, depicted a vicious attack on the Earth by a very intelligent, well-armed alien race, and Area 51 makes a key appearance in the movie, as the place where unbeknownst to the American public, scientists had reverse-engineered the aliens' technology from the 1947 Roswell UFO crash, allowing the US military and president to mount a counteroffensive.
And as Rachel is the closest most people can ever get to the real Area 51, the producers of the movie left this time capsule in town.
