Les Miserables
View Original Description
This play about the French Revolution first appeared on the London stage in 1985. It is based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel of the same name. Through the music and the set, the audience is transported back in time to 17thcentury France where social unrest was the theme of the day. While it may not be the most uplifting play, it is definitely a classic Broadway play with a timeless message.
