Norwegian Memorial is a memorial to a shipwreak, The Price Arthur, along the Pacific Coast in Olympic National Park. It's along the North Coast Route Trail (part of the Pacific Northwest Trail) perched on the bluff above Kayostia Beach.
The Price Arthur had departed Valparaiso, Chile on November 20, 1902, in route to load lumber at Port Blakely, Washington. Her destination cargo was bound for Australia.
The ship ran aground on the night of January 2, 1903 on the rocks - 18 died, 2 survived. The dead were buriedin the beach sand by the two survivors, local homesteaders and local Indians.
