See Old Chain of Craters Road, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Big Island, Hawaii
See a section of the old Chain of Craters Road in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park that was mostly covered by Mauna Uluʻs 1969 eruption. This fissure eruption covered the portion of the Chain of Craters Road that created these stops. Prior to this eruption, this area was a dense forest.
At the first stop there is a beautiful view of Mauna Ulu.
