The Parker Snake Intaglio is located near Parker, Arizona. It is not fenced in are the Blythe Intaglios are. Intaglios (also known as geoglyphs) are are “giant figures made on the desert floor by ancient man. The name “intaglio” refers to a specific type of geoglyph. Intaglio (pronounced “uhn-tal-yow”) is a printmaking process where a design is made by engraving or incising the surface so that the image is depressed in relief below the original surface. To get there go east on Shea Road from Highway 95. Follow this paved road for 13 miles (21 km) and turn right onto the gravel Swansea Mine Road and park about 1,000 yards down on the right. Cross over the road to see the snake.
