Pellerhaus Spiral Staircase, Nuremberg, Germany
View Original Description
In the stair tower of the Pellerhaus, a balustrade forms the end of what is probably the most beautiful spiral staircase in Nuremberg. The ornamented bottom view of the steps is enchanting. Typical forms of the German Renaissance are carved out of the stone. The stair tower is crowned by a stone star vault. Almost a hundred years later, Gothic stylistic elements can be found again and again in the Pellerhaus.
