See Phare des Îles Lavezzi, Lavezzu Island, Lavezzi Archipelago, Corsica, France

The Lavezzi Islands Lighthouse, more simply called the Lavezzi Lighthouse , is a lighthouse built at the southeastern end of the Lavezzi Islands in Corse-du-Sud , north of the mouths of Bonifacio and about 4 miles from Cape Pertusato. It marks the mouths of Bonifacio, the strait which separates Corsica from Sardinia. It is one of the most dangerous areas of the Mediterranean Sea due to reefs, currents and bad weather. First lighthouse: The Lavezzi islands lighthouse, built on the Lavezzo island , completes the second illumination program for the island (along with the Pietra lighthouse in L'Île-Rousse , the Madonetta and citadel lighthouses in the port of Ajaccio , and that of the Dragon at the port of Bastia ). It was erected in 1874 on the C apu di u Beccu , at the southern end of the island by the Lighthouse Service, almost twenty years after the sinking, theFebruary 15, 1855, de la Sémillante which was transporting troops to the Crimea and sank after colliding nearby with the islet "k" called de la Sémillante. In 1904, an automatic turret was added to the luminous signaling of the mouths of Bonifacio. Originally, it carried a fixed white light with white, red and green sectors. This first lighthouse was a rectangular tower backed by a guard building. Current Lighthouse: In 1911 , the first lighthouse was replaced by a light with white, red and green sectors, with two occultations every six (or eight) seconds. This second lighthouse is a white square turret, surmounting a rectangular building, with horizontal red bands on the east facade. The lighthouse has been automated since 1986 and is powered by solar panels.
