See Spider Rock, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Arizona

At an 800-foot, Spider Rock is one of the tallest freestanding spires in the world. It is located in the Navajo Nation at Canyon de Chelly National Monument in Arizona. The tribe, whose mythology holds that Spider Rock is the home of the creator god Spider Grandmother, currently prohibits climbing on the formation.
