See Stanton's Cave, Colorado River, Arizona
At mile 31.5 on the Colorado River near Vasey’s Paradise is a cave that in 1989 was used by Robert Brewster Stanton, chief engineer of the of the Denver Colorado Canyon and Pacific Railroad Company, stashed his boats and supplies in the cave. Stanton returned in 1890 to find the supplies mostly still usable.
