The monument celebrates surfers who have enjoyed the surf at Tourmaline, in the past, present and the future. It`s motto is: `Surf Well, Spread Aloha, Share Waves Without Judgment`. Tourmaline Surfing Park, located at North Pacific Beach in San Diego, California, first opened in May of 1963 and the monument honoring surfers was completed in 2008.
Tourmaline Surf Park, Pacific Beach. Whether you surf or not, you'll enjoy the easy-going local surfing scene in this beach park at the north end of Pacific Beach. Families have surfed at 'Tormo' for generations on the longboard friendly waves, and there's a mellow, non-competitive vibe. It's the best place to experience local surf culture. When the waves are 'on', the parking lot is sure to be full.
