Synchronous fireflies light up the night in perfect unison with their neighbors during mating season in Congaree National Park. The annual light show occurs for two weeks in late May and early June. Visitors can see this mesmerizing event at the edge of the Boardwalk Loop, a short walk from the park’s Harry Hampton Visitor Center.
