See The Two Bridges of La Caille, Cruseilles, France

These bridges are located 16 km north of Annecy on the D1201 road to Geneva, Switzerland. The bridges span the ravine formed by the Usses torrent 140 m below. The Charles-Albert bridge was built in 1839 in Medieval Revival style and features two white crenellated towers at each end supported by two dozen cables. In 1939, the bridge was restricted to pedestrians and is open free of charge.Parallel to the Charles-Albert bridge is the bridge known as “Pont Caquot” or “Pont Neuf”. It was built in 1925 as a replacement to the disused Charles Albert bridge.
