But Oceanside’s “Top Gun” bungalow is located at 102 N. Pacific St. between Seagaze Drive and Mission Avenue. It’s the spot where Tom Cruise’s character “Maverick” parked his motorcycle in front of a quaint cottage to have dinner with love interest “Charlie” (played by actress Kelly McGillis) in the hit 1986 film “Top Gun.” The small cottage has been resting on the same prime oceanfront lot since the late 1880s. But it has seem better days and looks about to fall apart. The city of Oceanside took ownership of the home and it was declared a historic property, according to reports.
