Tulsa Public Market and Tower, Tulsa, Oklahoma
View Original Description
The 1929 Art Deco-style Tulsa Public Market and Tower were abandoned and nearly demolished in the 1970s on historic U.S. Route 66, which still runs through Tulsa, Oklahoma. The name "Public Market" was removed from over the amazing art deco doorway, but the building was miraculously saved from demolition during the 1970's. It now serves as a shopping mall.
