The world's largest population of Humpbacks and 21 other species of whales and dolphins can be seen off Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition to Humpbacks, Beluga, Narwhal, Sperm Whale, Orca, Pygmy Sperm Whale, Blue Whale, Fin Whale, Sei Whale, Minke Whale, Bowhead Whale, Right Whale, Northern Bottle-Nosed Whale, Sowerby's Beaked Whale, Blainville's Beaked Whale and True's Beaked Whale.
The Gulf Stream and the Labrador Current meet and mix over the Grand Banks to make this area a great feeding ground for the whales.
You can see the whales either by boat, sea kayak or hiking along a seaside trails.
The season is between May and September.
