See Whirley Crane, Richmond, California

"Whirley Crane", still stands in the Richmond, CA, Kaiser Shipyard. It was one of dozens used to build a total of 747 ships from 1942 to 1945. Originally built by Clyde Iron Works of Duluth, Minnesota in 1935, the crane was a great innovation at the time, which could rotate 360 degrees.
