See Wohnstadt Carl Legien, Berlin, Germany (UNESCO site)

The residential city Legien is a large housing estate in Berlin's Pankow district, the district of Prenzlauer Berg , in the years 1928 to 1930 after plans by Bruno Taut and Franz Hillinger was established union-cooperative. It was named after the German trade union leader Legien . It lies at the Erich-Weinert-Straße between Gubitz and Sültstraße. The housing development is now a historical monument . 1994 began with the conservation practice refurbishment, the original plaster and color versions were restored. In July 2008 the city was living as one of six Berlin Modernism Housing Estates in the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage included.
