Ski or Snowboard La Parva, Chile
La Parva is a small ski resort located about 50 km (31 mi) northeast of Santiago and sits at 2,750 meters above sea level. It is in the middle ridge of the "3 Valleys" resorts that also includes El Colorado and Valle Nevado. La Parva is rarely visited by international visitors and it mostly a meeting place for Santiago’s wealthy families (both on and offt he slopes).
Experienced skiers and riders can ski to Valle Nevado and El Colorado with an inter-resort lift ticket.
The resort gets an average of 275 inches (7 meters) of snowfall annually.
The downhill courses was approved by the FIS and is used as a training center for international teams such as United States, France and Slovakia, among many others.
