View Original Description
Hōnaunau Bay on the Big Island has great visibility most days of the year. The bay if off Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park (Place of Refuge) and does not have a beach. The shoreline of Honaunau Bay is lined with black lava rocks, smoothed by years of wave action. The south side of the bay is shallower and offers a better chance of finding turtles.
