Snorkel or Dive Pūpūkea Beach Park (Shark’s Cove & Three Tables), Oahu, Hawaii

Pupukea Marine Life Conservation on Oahu’s North Shore is a white sand and lava rock beach with two main swimming areas called Shark’s Cove and Three Tables. They are named for offshore reef rocks peeking above the waves. Both are popular scuba diving and snorkeling site when the surf is not large. At low tide the middle area of this 80-acre beach park becomes a network of tidepools known as Old Quarry. Shark’s Cove entry is through a boulder field and has the best scuba diving just outside of the cove. Three Tables is located at the southern end of the park has a mostly sandy shore and shallower waters. The name come from three large and flat sections of coral reef which become visible at low tide. Outside of the tables the depth drops to 45 feet and the many lava tubes and rock formations ideal for scuba diving.
