Snorkel The Caves (Treasure Point) on Norman Island, BVI

Norman Island is a well-known destination for cruisers and other tourists because of three water-level caves at the base of cliffs just outside the western edge of The Bight. Inside the three large caves, uncover troves of colorful fish in the shallow clear water, including blue tangs, sergeant majors and yellow tails. he caves are ideal for snorkeling, and, if one goes deeply enough into the cliffs, darkness makes the experience like a night dive. 10 Mooringa are available here or moor at the Bight and dinghy over. There is a dinghy mooring available at The Caves. The caves of Norman Island, which supposedly inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's pirate novel Treasure Island. Norman Island has so many caves, hidden bays, and wrecks that many tourists still explore hoping to find treasure one day, and tourism operators in the British Virgin Islands have no interest in trying to discourage this. Take along a waterproof flashlight for inside the caves.
