Just a two-hour drive outside of New York City in the Pocono’s is the fairly new (June 2006) Lodge at Woodloch, a luxurious spa. It is a true destination with all-inclusive packages that include three gourmet meals a day and a personal spa concierge who will help design the ideal experience. The amount of spa treatments included daily depends on the packaged booked, however, guests ca always purchase more. Between the culinary classes, art classes, nature hikes, and various water activities on the private 15-acre lake it’s no wonder the Lodge was rated one of the Top 15 Destination Spas by Travel and Leisure magazine. The spa and lodge were designed to fit perfectly within its natural setting. The 40,000-square-foot spa has 27 treatment rooms (two rooms are couple suites and two are suites with private soaking tubs and showers), an Aqua Garden with heated hydro-massage waterfall pools, a 3,000-square-foot fitness center, three studios,steam rooms, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, sauna, beauty salon, and lounge. There are a variety of services available including prenatal options and couple treatments. Guests can customize massages and facials by adding additional therapies such as a hair and scalp treatment or Reiki.
