Stay at Ant's Nest, Waterberg, South Africa
Set in a Cape Dutch–style house with an annexe less than 1 km from the R33 road, this upmarket lodge is on a private game reserve in the Waterberg wilderness area. Featuring wood and stone accents, the rustic-chic rooms have sitting areas, fireplaces and verandahs, as well as minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Some have 4-poster beds. The 1- to 2-bedroom suites add living areas, and a dome-shaped thatched hut features an outdoor shower. Room service is available.All meals and most drinks are included, as are game drives, ranger walks, horseriding and rhino tracking. There's also a garden, an outdoor pool and a gazebo with sofas.
