Bawah Island is located between Malaysia and Borneo. Bawah is a barefoot, back-to-nature beauty, set in a previously uninhabited marine conservation zone across five, lush, forest-canopied islands, three sheltered lagoons and 13 beaches. Every accommodation consists of an outdoor living room / veranda measuring leading into a bedroom and then to the open air bathroom. Land accommodation is elevated allowing air circulation under the accommodation. The bedroom can be open to the elements or hermetically sealed as per guest wishes – a central bed with mosquito netting and ceiling fan presides in centre of the room - an AC unit is incorporated into the bed-head – the bedroom has a desk and pair of comfortable safari lounge chairs. Bathroom has walk in shower, stand-alone “explorers copper bathtub”, dual sinks, dressing area and separate WC. The spacious outdoor verandah has a 5 metre day bed seating bench as well as director chairs and table. It only takes four hours to travel back 10,000 years. Your time machine travel experience will involve a short ferry ride from Singapore to Batam Island, Indonesia. From Batam Airport, you will take a 70-minute flight aboard a private Bawah seaplane that will land in a beautiful lagoon right in front of your suite.
