Stay at Great Sand Dunes Lodge, Mosca, Colorado
This basic hotel is at the foot of the San Luis Valley and by the entrance to Great Sand Dunes National Park. The straightforward rooms have patios overlooking the park and feature heating and air-conditioning, private bathrooms, fridges and microwaves, plus cable TV and WiFi access. Some rooms have a private gas grill, pine paneling and a pull-out sofa bed.There's a heated indoor pool, BBQ grills and a common patio. Free continental breakfast is served in March, April and October, when the nearby restaurant is closed.
